What is the B.A.M. Adventure Boot Camp?

A four-week outdoor program of fitness instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workout led by a Certified Adventure Fitness Trainer. Each camp class will be one hour in length.

What if I’m not very physically fit?

NOBODY will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged! People of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Each day will slightly increase in intensity. You will inspire and be inspired by others.

What types of exercises are included in the program? 

Exercises include: Core conditioning, short distance running (less than one mile), muscular strength, jumping rope, circuit training, hiking, sport yoga, fitness kick boxing, pilates, sport drills, obstacle courses, surprises, and more!

How often will we meet?

Camp participants meet three times per week for four weeks. Please see the LOCATIONS page for days and times for each individual location.

What do I need to bring?

An exercise mat, one set of small hand weights (3 or 5 lbs to start), water bottle, running shoes, and a sense of adventure. You can purchase mats and weights at Walmart, Sports Authority or other sports equipment stores. There are several businesses that offer special incentives for our campers. You will be given details for participating businesses prior to the start of camp.

What can I achieve from camp?

Your body will become more fit and toned, and you will gain more confidence making a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being. The camp program includes exercises designed to firm your butt and thighs, flatten your stomach, reduce body fat and increase stamina. By losing fat and gaining muscle, you’ll lose inches and gain strength while looking and feeling better. Also, you’ll meet great people who share in the same vision of striving to reach their goals for a healthier mind and body.

Why should I participate?

You will make a dramatic improvement in your physical and mental well-being. In addition, you will meet great people who share your same passion for acquiring a more healthy body and mind. You will be finished with your training before the rest of the world has even gotten started!

What is the cost (investment in myself)?

Each four-week boot camp has a registration fee of $199 for 4 weeks of instruction! Where else can you get premiere or cutting edge fitness instruction for that incredible price? Personal trainers can typically charge $40 to $120 per hour for their services – this is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost.

How do I sign up?

Go to the calendar of your preferred location and click on your camp location preference. Then simply fill out the registration form. After filling out the registration form, please follow the payment instructions. We accept cash, check or you can pay via credit card securely and online. Once we’ve received your registration information, we’ll contact you about a week before camp to schedule your pre-camp evaluation.

What is the Pre Camp Evaluation? 

The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:

  • We will give you an introduction to Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have. We will also review your medical history.
  • We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. We don’t care what the measurements show. It’s strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.
  • We will record your weight and optionally measure your body fat percentage. Again, the numbers don’t matter. We just want to be able to measure your improvement. Don’t be surprised if you see a 3-8% reduction in your body fat over the four weeks!
  • You will receive your Welcome Packet and directions to our location.

  • What do I need to bring to camp?

You will need to bring one set of 3 or 5 lb. hand weights and any type of exercise mat. You will also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp. Optional items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens during cooler months. Dress in a layered fashion…even if it is chilly, you will get warm very fast!

Will I be sore sometimes?

Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It’s part of the process that lets you improve!

What kinds of people go to camp?

They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Some exercise experience is needed to ensure your safety and a better flow of class.

Is there a refund policy?

If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date. However we will charge a $50.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable. Credit is not given toward private fitness training. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.

What is a typical day like at camp?

That’s difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some light running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training and jumping rope each week. On special days, we will take a field trip to a different location. It’s always an adventure, and you’ll always have fun! We teach you a great deal about proper form and “core stability.”

How soon will I see results?

Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. “Visual Improvement” can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It’s becoming common to see a camper go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first camp. Remember, everyone is different!

Where does camp take place?

Camp may be at a park, school campus, church campus, or stadium. Your workouts will typically be outdoors and could take place on one or more surfaces (i.e. grass, concrete, tracks, turf, basketball court, tennis courts, etc)

What will I do after camp is over?

You can get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Many (around 80%) of the campers return for a second and even third camp.
